Older Wiser Lutherans

OWLs are members of Immanuel age 55 and over. They are young at heart "seniors" - Christian folk who give a hoot! No business meetings, officers or dues. Come join in the fun and fellowship!

Pastor Reed will explore the Book of Galatians at Wednesday AM Bible class, beginning in September.

Class meets in the Great Room, from 9:30-10:30. You are welcome to attend.

OWLs Events

Essexvile - Fairgrove Trip

OWLs traveled to Essexville on Tuesday, July 11 to visit and sing to shut-ins. First stop was Bay Co Medical Care Facility, then on to New Hope Bay on Pine Street.

At noon we ate lunch together. On our way home we took a side trip to Fairgrove where we toured Grace Lutheran Church. Pastor Josh Haller gave us an exciting and informative presentation on the impressive wall art creation, called The Resurrection Polyptych.

Just part of our "choir" as we brought the joy of knowing Jesus to many shut-ins and their staff.

Bringing our message of Hope in Christ to the folks at New Hope Bay in Essexville. Resident (and Immanuel member) Jean Myers poses in foreground with the visiting group.

Rev Josh Haller explains part of the Resurrection Polyptych at Grace, Fairgrove.

The polyptych ends with the large depictions of the Holy Trinity.

The Owls group poses with the saints of old, depicted in the marvelous art piece, called the Resurrection Polyptych.
