…..age 95, went to the Church Triumphant on Sunday, March 29, 2020, at Courtney Manor Nursing Home in Bad Axe.

Virginia was born July 4, 1924, in Sebewaing, to George and Clara (Zarnke) Loeffler. After graduating from high school, she married Donald Hoagg at New Salem Lutheran Church on June 9, 1951. She worked as a secretary for Michigan Producers Dairy from 1967 to 1986. Virginia enjoyed playing cards, dice, watching the Detroit Tigers and bowling. She volunteered a few years at Bay Medical Center in Bay City. Virginia loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and watching them play numerous sports in school. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing and worked on the church newsletter from 1990 to 2015.

Virginia is survived by her children: Gary Hoagg, Janice (Thomas) Sting and Karen (Floyd) Winchell, all of Sebewaing; sister-in-law, Dorothy Hoagg; brother-in-law, Fred Bauer; 10 grandchildren: Jamie (Jean) Hoagg, Michael Hoagg, Brad (Becky) Sting, Angela (Dave) Hughes, Kristy Sting, Kevin (Kristie) Dorsch, Stephanie (Adam) Kubacki, Stacie Dorsch, Jennifer (special friend Ryan Millerwise) Winchell and Kimberly Winchell; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 niece and 2 nephews.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, daughter Nancy (Charles) Dorsch; and siblings: Alice Bauer, Robert Loeffler and Donald Loeffler.
