...age 84, of Caro, percefully entered the Church Triumphant on July 16, 2024.

Roy was born September 27, 1939, in Caro, to Brad and Alice Wightman. He graduated from Caro High School in 1958. After high school he joined the United States Navy where he served from 1957 to 1961. On November 23, 1963, he married Norma Jean Fuerst. She preceded him in death on August 15, 2019. Together they raised two sons, Terry and Eric. Roy worked in construction as a builder for a few years. He loved working for Bavarian Inn for over 25 years doing maintenance. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting and bowling. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing.

Roy is survived by his two sons: Terry (Susie) Wightman of Caro and Eric (Deb McGinlay) Wightman of Mayville; grandchildren: Becky (Travis) Warren, Kristen (Luke Ruppert) Wightman, Courtney (Eli Gorde) Wightman and Dakota (Cherith Leach) Wightman; great grandchildren: Melanie, Chloe, Hailey, Luke and Peyton; brother, Kevin (Lisa) Wightman; sister-in-law, Marie Wightman; and many nieces and nephews.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Don Wightman.

Visitation is Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home, 538 S. Beck St., Sebewaing, from 1pm-6pm.

Funeral service is Monday, July 22, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 800 E. Bay St., Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Burial will be at 2:30pm at Elkland Twp. Cemetery in Cass City. Pastor Michael Boyer will be officiating.
